EVENTS

Our animal companions can be our closest friends. They share our homes, our lives and our love. To pay tribute to the animals that have meant so much, we hold some events during the year in their honor. Please mark your calendars to join us on these very special days. The events are always free and everyone is welcome. If you have large group planning to attend, please call us in advance so we can make special arrangements for you.

K-9 Memorial Service

It is with great pride that we have donated burial plots in our pet cemetery to all deceased service animals from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s office and the Clearwater Police Department.

Every Spring, we hold a memorial service to honor the K-9 service dogs which have been interred during the past 12 months. K9 service dogs and their handlers from many area police and sheriff’s departments including the Clearwater Police Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office are in attendance at this special public service. It is a very touching sight to see the large line-up of K-9 officers with their handlers on site to pay tribute to one of their own.

This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, March 4 at 4:00.  Please join us to honor these brave animals.

Pet Blessing Ceremony

Our Pet Blessing Ceremony is usually held the first weekend of October.   Everyone and their pets are welcome at this special ceremony to bless all fury or feathered family members.  We hold this ceremony in honor of World Blessing Day, a worldwide annual celebration created to bring blessings to the beloved pets in our lives.

Reverend Danny McDonald from North Bay Community Church will lead the service to bless all pets large and small. Following the service, we will give you a small gift for your pet and an official pet blessing certificate. We only ask that you make sure your pet is on a leash and is friendly with other animals. Please check our News & Events page for the date and time of this year’s event.
